DC Sports was founded in 1987 by Darrell and Darrick Contreras. They first endeavor was a commission from American Honda to develop a header for their SCCA approved CRX’s. This product was so well received by Honda that other headers were requested.
DC Sports primarily based their production lines on popular Japanese small cars. Throughout the 1990’s DC Sports was synonymous with Honda and Acura and expanded into street legal and competition headers, exhaust systems and strut bars.
AEM (Advanced Engine Management) purchased DC Sports in 2004. AEM contributed to and continued producing the best products.
In 2007 Pilot Automotive purchased the aftermarket assets and intellectual property of DC Sports from AEM.
In 2009 DC Sports introduced Air Intake Systems to work with their headers and catback exhausts.

Catback exhaust system is cnc mandrel bent tig welded from T304 stainless steel. It is hand welded and features a straight through single canister transverse mounted muffler core with dual straight cut four inch tips. DC Sports Cold Air Intake System Subaru WRX 02-06
This cold air intake provides heat protection and improved breathability. What better way to get more cold air to your Subaru’s intake. The DC Sports Cold Air Intake comes with an air box (included in some applications), aluminum air box mounting bracket, polished aluminum filter intake tube, performance filter, silicone hoses, hose clamps, screws and washers. The air filter does not require oil; therefore there is no chance of contaminating the Mass Air Flow Sensor. The filter is washable and re-useable. It filters out particles as small as one micron (.00039 inch). The aluminum alloy construction makes system immune to corrosion. The built in velocity stack dramatically increases air flow rates. The built in tunnel top directs air flow into the velocity stack. The stainless steel mesh aids in strength and longevity of the filter filament.
